Kaumātua/Seniors Group

At the request of tenant whānau, Te Āhuru Mōwai is excited to announce the launch of a kaumātua and seniors’ group.

The purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity for kaumātua and seniors to get together to share interests and support each other.

The group is open to all tenant whānau who are 55+ years young. The group will meet monthly at Niblick Hall, Niblick Lane in Titahi Bay.

It is our hope that the sessions will provide the opportunity for kaumātua and seniors to share their experiences, skills and resources. Group members will be able to connect with each other, share kai, enjoy gentle exercise and gain new skills and knowledge.

Group members will help determine session content so if you are interested in becoming a member of this group, please call us on 0508 832 487 to register your interest and share your ideas. The programme is a pilot and will initially run for 10 months.

The schedule below includes the dates and venue for the first 3 Kaumātua and seniors hui.
